Recipe for Instant Vermicelli Dhokla

For preparation

  • 1 Cup MTR Rice sevai - vermicelli (Sevai)
  • 1 Cup Suji
  • 2 Cups Curd (dahi)
  • 1 Cup Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • 1 Teaspoon Green chilli paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 5 Grams Fruit Salt One small Eno packet
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil

For cooking

  • 3 Cups Water (पानी)


For preparation

  1. Finely chop the coriander leaves
  2. To create batter, mix all ingredients well in a bowl
  3. Grease a small steel thali or plate with oil, pour batter into the greased plate till 1 inch thickness.

For cooking

  1. Add 2-3 cups of water in a steamer and place over medium flame
  2. Once the water is boiling, place batter plate over it and close the lid
  3. Cook for 10 minutes
  4. Insert knife or toothpick and check if it comes out clean. This is to ensure the dhokla is completely cooked.
  5. Serve hot!
