Recipe for Vanilla Tutti Fruti Cake

A yummy version of the vanilla cake with colourful tutti fruti inside. Its a perfect homemade treat for children !

INGREDIENTS

  • 1¼ Cups Refined Wheat Flour (Maida)
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk Powder
  • 1½ Tablespoons Corn flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar (Shakar) (powdered)
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Soda Bi Carb
  • Salt a pinch
  • ½ Cup Curd
  • ⅓ Cup Canola Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • ¾ Cup Tutti Fruti

METHOD

  1. Combine all the dry ingredients and sieve them 3 times.
  2. Place the dry mixture in a deep bowl, to it add curd, canola oil and vanilla essence. Mix well till it forms a smooth batter.
  3. Add tutti fruti to the batter and mix well.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree celsius for 45 minutes or till done. Check if the cake is done by inserting a tooth pick in the centre of the cake.
