Rawa sheera is a commonly made dessert in households on various pious occasions. Here is a regular rawa sheera recipe enriched with the goodness of dry fruits. Its not only delicious but also easy to make.
This recipe contains 235 Calories, 35 gms Carbohydrates, 4 gms Proteins, 8 gms Fats.
½ Cup Semolina (Rawa)
1 Cup Milk (Doodh)
¾ Cup Sugar (Shakar)
2 Tablespoons Almonds (Badam) (slivers)
2 Tablespoons Cashwenuts (chopped)
2 Tablespoons Raisins (chopped)
Saffron (a few strands dissolved in 2 tbsp milk)
2 Tablespoons Ghee
Heat 1 tsp ghee in a deep non-stick pan. Roast the cashews, almonds and semolina till it turns light brown in colour.
Boil 1 cup milk with 1/2 cup water in another pan. Stir in the boiled milk with the roasted semolina.
Cook for 2 minutes, add the raisins and sugar. Cook on a medium flame for 4 - 5 minutes or till the sheera becomes thick and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Add the saffron and milk mixture, mix well and serve.
