A traditional and simple protein rich Andhra breakfast recipe. Perfect for days when you wish to eat light.Serve it with coriander chutney or a coconut chutney.

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ Cup Split Green Moong Dal (green gram)
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger (Adrak) (paste)
  • 1 Garlic ( लहसुन)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic ( लहसुन) (paste)
  • 1 Teaspoon Green Chillies (paste)
  • 1 Tablespoon Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 Teaspoons Oil

METHOD

  1. Wash and soak the dal for 2 - 3 hours.
  2. Drain and add the remaining ingredients except oil to a blender and blenderize with a little water to make a smooth paste.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and make thin dosas from the batter using 1/2 a tsp oil for each dosa.
  4. Serve hot with green chutney.
