Recipe for Hummus

Hummus is a beautifully seasoned popular lebanese dip made using cooked chickpeas or chole. It perfect for evening snack or as a started when served with vegetable sticks, pita or lavash. It healthy too !

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Chickpeas (chole) (soaked and pressure cooked)
  • 2 Teaspoons Tahini Paste
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic ( लहसुन) (finely chopped)
  • ½ Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Combine all the ingredients in blenderise till it forms a smooth paste.
  2. Garnish by drizzling some olive oil and sprinkling little red chili powder.
  3. Serve with pita bread or lavash.
