Recipe for Masala Khichiya Papad

Masala Khichiya papad is a scrumptious snack to bite on. The crunchy papad topped with chopped vegetables and lots of chutney and ofcource all time favourite sev, all of which gives a memorable experience.

TOTAL Pieces



  • 4 Khichiya Papad (खींचहिया पापद) (roasted)
  • 6 Teaspoons Butter (Makhan) (melted)
  • ½ Cup Cabbage (Patta gobi) (finely chopped)
  • ½ Cup Onion (Pyaaz) (finely chopped)
  • ½ Cup Cucumber (finely chopped)
  • ½ Cup Tomatoes (Tamatar) (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 Teaspoons Green Chutney
  • 4 Teaspoons Garlic chutney
  • 4 Tablespoons Sev
  • 2 Teaspoons Lemon juice

For Garnishing

  • 8 Teaspoons Coriander Leaves (Dhania) (finely chopped)


  1. Roast a khichiya papad on an open meduim flame till light brown spots appear on both the sides.
  2. Allow it to cool, now keep it on a serving plate and press the papad in the centre to break it into pieces.
  3. Apply butter on the papad evenly.
  4. Sprinkle cabbage, onions, cucumber, tomato and little salt on the papad.
  5. Add garlic chutney, green chutney evenly on the papad,
  6. Finally sprinkle the sev and add lemon juice on the papad and serve immediately garnished with coriander.
