Recipe for Chinese Bhel

This is the most exciting version of bhel, instead of making the bhel with puffed rice the Chinese bhel is made from fried noodles tossed in schewan sauce, tomato sauce and crispy colourfull vegetables.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Cups Fried Noodles
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic ( लहसुन) (finely chopped)
  • ¼ Cup Spring Onion finely chopped
  • ½ Cup Capsicum (chopped lengthwise)
  • ½ Cup Carrots (chopped lengthwise)
  • ½ Cup Cabbage (shredded)
  • ¼ Cup Tomato Ketchup
  • ¼ Cup Schezwan sauce
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and cook on a high flame for few seconds.
  2. Add spring onions, capsicum, carrots, cabbage and saute on a high flame for 30 seconds.
  3. Add schewan sauce, tomato sauce, salt and mix well and cook on high flame for few seconds.
  4. Remove from the flame add the fried noodles and toss well.
  5. Garnish with spring onion greens and Serve immediately
